GOOOOOOOO Team!

I had my first cheer game last night, and, good thing I'm not claustrophobic! We were in such a small space, one of the girls kept kicking the trash can! Unfortunately, I think it will always be like this...... The rest I loved, though we lost 14 to 23. Our outfits were so cute! Everyone looked great!  We did a good job, and so did the other team. I reunited with a lot of my friends from my spring softball team. It was great to see them again!

Veterans Day

Monday was Veterans Day, and I had a flashback. I was little, and I was running into my Uncle Aaron's arms. I think he had just got home from Afghanistan. Anyway, thank you to all Veterans!

Bop it!

Sorry I haven't blogged in so long. I've been on an expedition through the Northwest Passage, saw Benjamin Franklin write the Declaration of Independence, and farmed in Jamestown. Now I'm sailing through homework!
I've been home for awhile doing my daily chores. I was eating my snack when I noticed Kyle playing Bop It!. You know, the TWIST IT.....PULL IT.....BOP IT.....SHOUT.....etc. He keeps on pressing the Bop it button and ends up losing. It says, "Oh! So close! You can do it!" and Kyle says "I CAN'T do it!"
That is why I'm blogging. Well, nothing interesting going on now (not yet). Bye!

Scary Story! by Annie

SCR-EE-CH! There was that eerie noise again.  I just had to see what it was.  I opened the door and gasped!  There was a huge bat right in front of me!  Well, at least it was right in front of me.  It flew off as soon as I opened the door.  That's why it seemed so big!  It was so close to my face!
I moved on to the next bedroom in the new house.  My parents and I had just moved into this house in Illinois from Idaho.  I think it's a haunted house, but mom says all it needs is some petunias in the front yard and a new paint job.  Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps.  As I tiptoed towards the next room, I heard a creaky-sort of sound.  I shrieked.
"AA-Ahh-hhah!"  I fell over hard on to my side.
"Cre-e-ak!"  I heard the sound again!  I looked down to find that the floorboard I was standing on had been making the sound.  I felt so embarrassed!  I was glad no one saw me.  Mom was downstairs and Dad was tending to the garden, so it wasn't them that made the snicker.
I looked around.  I was alone.  I sighed and moved on.  In the next room, there was a huge closet.  I looked around to make sure no one was looking, then I opened the closet quickly.  I held my breath as I did it...and...I opened my eyes.
"What??" I gasped.  There was nothing there!  I turned around and my heart skipped a beat.
"Hello there!" said the little boy happily.
"AAAAHHHAHH!!!"  I fell back and screamed.
The boy said, "Sshh!  You don't want them to hear us do you?"  He gave me a stern look.  He had dark blue eyes and dirty blond hair.  He was very pale though, and looked hungry too.  I could see the out-line of his ribs through his shirt!  He looked about my age, 11.
     "W-Who-oo are y-you?" I shakily asked.
"I'm Willabeury," he said.  "Jason Willabeury," he smiled.  "And who might you be?" he gestured towards me.
"I-I..." I stuttered.  "I'm Spence.  Tommy Spence.  How did you get here?  When did you get here?  I-..."  There were so many questions to ask!
He answered, "I was born in this house and lived here until my parents disappeared."
"When did you get here?" I asked.
"Um...about 1869.  I am 11 years old and-"  He tried to finish, but I cut him off.
     "Wait!  What did you say?"
He answered slowly, "I am eleven."
"No!  Before that!  When were you born?" I shouted.
"I was born in 1869!" he said proudly.
     Oh my gosh!  I thought.  I was born in 2002.  "It's 2013!" I screamed.
     "No, it's 1881.  I'm only eleven!"
We started arguing until I showed him to my mom.
     "What's the matter hon?"
"He says he was born in 1869," I told her.
"Who?" she suspiciously asked me.  "Tommy, I told you not to have imaginary friends!"  I looked beside me.  Jason was gone!
More months passed, and there was no sign of Jason anywhere.  When I was older, my family moved to Wisconsin.  I always strolled around the graveyard behind our house when I had the time.  One day, I saw something I will never forget as long as I live:  It was Jason's gravestone.  Here's what it looked like:
On the back it said, "Died on Gendinue Road 18531 in Illinois.  His parents moved to Wisconsin and buried him here.  Poor, sweet, little Jason."
I am 26 now and I'm a scary story writer.  The only thing that I write that is true is this story.  Every once in a while at night I smell a foul stench and hear this whisper, "1881, Spence.  1881...."

Snow!

Today we had our first snow, but it was just a little bit. Whenever the snow touched the ground, it melted.... >: (  After school, we came home, did chores, and then we made brownies and put snow on them (powdered sugar). It was delish!! But we only got to have one piece so we could save some for after supper (or before.... ; ) don't tell mom.) Anyway, they were awesome!!!

More caterpillars!! ; )

On Monday (10-21-13), I had the worst thing happen to me. Here I go........,
I had been having a great day, meeting friends, telling each other what we did over break, etc.. and it happened at recess. My friend and I were walking around the playground when we spotted two other friends of ours. They asked us to play tag, so we said yes. As we turned around to start our game, one of the girls said, " Hey, there's your brother." I turned around to talk to him, and he tried to drop something on my head. " What the- " I sputtered. Then, he threw something at me. It hit me on my eye lid and right below my left eye. I yelped a cry of pain, and he screamed and ran off ( You know how boys are ). My friends ran over to me and asked if I was okay. One girl said, " There is some weird stuff on your eye! " We tried to find  what he had thrown, and the girl cried, " I found it! " She held up something brown and black. It was a wooly-worm!! Soon, we went off to play. My eye kept hurting, so I asked to got to the nurse. The nurse was in the high school, so one of the office ladies was in the nurse's room. I told her what happened, and she said she had never seen anything like it before. I asked her what it was, and she said the wooly-worm hairs were stuck in my skin all around my eye!  Just my luck! She tried to get some of them out with her finger, then with her tweezers. After that, the real nurse came in. Snap! The piece the office lady was working on broke and was too small to grab a hold of! The real nurse tried to see it, but couldn't. The office lady had to point it out. After many tries, they gave up and gave me an ice pack to see if coldness would draw it out. I came down to get another one about 30 minutes later because it had melted. Then, Dr. Riggs had a talk with my brother about throwing things. When I got to my classroom, one of my friends told me that she had put one down his back. He was itching for days!! : /

Hey World!

What's up? I'm Annie, and I am in 5th grade. I have six brothers, I'm the oldest, and I have a crazy family. Poor me, but I love it! The picture above is a little wrong..... I was in fourth grade and I had short hair. I also didn't have 50 pounds of metal in my mouth! It's a long story....
It was May 15, 2013 when I got an expander in my mouth. I was supposed to get it on the 14th, but I was in a play that night and this thing would make me talk weird for a while. On the 15th, I got pulled out of school at maybe 10:30 or 11:00 to go to the appointment. Beforehand, I had had other checkups that lead up to this one. When we got to the ortho, they took me right away. They sat me in a chair and cleaned my teeth, to make sure nothing would mess it up. I stared at the appliance the whole time before they put it in. This thing is going to be in my mouth??, I kept thinking. First, they glued the brackets on (yuck!). They made me bite on some kind of tool to make it go into my gums. I'm sure they did that on purpose. Anyway, next, they shaped the expander to fit it onto the brackets. They glued the other part of it to one of my molars and my upper right canine. When they were done, it looked like two pink buttcheeks with metallic arms out-stretched like a star. I was in a lot of pain, so we went to Subway to get a sub. It was my first one!! So afterward, I went to  school and showed everybody what I had gotten that day. Every single person I showed was grossed out by it. I was sore the whole day, but I came home to more pain! My appliance came with a key to crank it. I felt pressure every time, and it really hurt!!
Don't worry.. that's not my mouth!!
Now, I have something way different. It still expands, but it looks like a W. It's metallic. Are you grossed out enough yet? Okay, okay, fine. I'll stop.
Now, I have long brown hair and much less homework than I did last year.
That's it! I'm done talking about me.  Thanks for reading! Hope you check out my other blog entries! See ya!

What's Green, Brown, & Hairy All-Over?

I just started this new blog, so don't judge me!!! Okay, so I just got home from my Nana's, and Adam, Jack, and Dad just got home from camping. Dad gave me a big, sloppy kiss....(MOIST)....ew, and Mom pushed me before I even got to walk into the kitchen!!!! What a great welcome! She did it because she didn't want me to see what she put on her blog (hint: it has to do with Henry and a Wolly-Worm.... Hint Hint!!). Now, he is in his ExerSaucer bouncing next to me giggling uncontrollably.
That's my boy!!!!!
